NSPCC
A few weeks ago the children of HEATHFIELD School learnt about the role of the NSPCC and ChildLine. During the presentation they were introduced to the NSPCC/ChildLine mascot - Buddy Bubble, and they were all given an event form and sponsor form to take home. They have taken part in our FUNdraising event "Buddy's Big Workout" where they joined in some simple fun & physical activities. The children have raisec £2081. The money raised by Heathfield School will go towards helping to protect local children and young people through the NSPCC's projects and services, which include the NSPCC Helpline for adults with concerns about a child, and ChildLine. Last year (09/10) ChildLine, which supports young people via the free telephone number 0800 1111 and online via www.childline.org.uk, counselled over 151,000 children and young people from across the UK, including Worcester.
