New Building Progress

  

In this section of the website we hope to give weekly updates to keep you up to date with the progress being made on our new classroom development.

Pre school and digger Oh what fun we had! Pre-School and Reception children were invited to see and sit on the heavy plant machinery. It was, of course, made safe for their visit. For more photographs please click here

inside corridor Mr. Brierly's site visit today reveals how much progress has been made. Floors are laid, plastering complete and even the glass is in the windows. The decorators move in next week.

reception new build A recent site visit by Mr. Brierly allowed us to see how much progress has been made both inside and out. Pipes for the underfloor heating have been laid and since the visit the concrete flooring has been completed.

Roof on What a difference a few weeks make. The roof is already in place.

Scaffolding Last photographs before the summer holidays and the scaffolding is being erected.

Corridors and classrooms Just over a week since the last photographs and the classrooms are starting to take shape. The doors are also going in place.

Building grows Only just over a week and progress is obvious. Growth is strong on good foundations!

Concret arrives Concrete mixers arrive one after the other to lay the foundations.
Concrete is spread flat All hands on deck to spread the concrete but it is hard and hot work and the concrete sets quickly in the wonderful weather.

building june 15th Metalwork is in place to support the concrete foundations which will be arriving on Thursday.

Pipe Laying Pipe Laying is now in progress but the weather has been very unsettled this week.

Hard Core Progress is rapid as the weather has been very kind. The hard core is now in place.

Work commences on our new classroom block.
The children like the posters Thomas Vale have erected to decorate the fencing.
There are specially created boards with windows at different levels that the children can look through to watch work in progress.
